Turbo Grizzly

Turbo Grizzly

Meet the Turbo-Beaver at ½ the price

Over the last 7 years, Aerotek Aviation has built various types of aircraft sporting its PT6 firewall forward package for experimental aircraft. Aerotek his also well known for winning multiple awards for Best in Class at the 2 major Air Show in North America, S & F and OSH with the Turbine Murphy Moose and with our New Turbo-Grizzly. In the last year, we became also an
approved shop to convert the venerable Piston DHC2 Beaver in PT6 Turbo Beaver.

The main idea behind for the Turbo-Grizzly was to compete with the Turbo-Beaver in terms of
useful load, performance, structural strength but at half the price. If you are a private owner and doesn’t need a certified aircraft for commercial operation, the Turbo-Grizzly is the perfect aircraft for you.

The Grizzly is born from the DHC2 Beaver. We have used a mix of ideas from the Lockheed AL
60 and the DHC2 Beaver structure to create this experimental class of aircraft and has been built
FAR 23 regulations in mind. Each Turbo-Grizzly is meticulously crafted to meet or exceed original
Beaver specifications and equipments. You are invited to view all aspects of your new Grizzly
during construction.

In landplane form, our Turbo-Grizzly operates from un-surfaced ground strips or forest clearings of three hundred metres (1,000 feet) in length. With fuel reserves, operating under Visual Flight Rules (VFR), it carries a load of about half a ton on practical stages for nearly 1,000 kilometres (about 600 statute miles). It has an empty weight of 2850 on wheels and a gross of 5500 pounds. Its amphibious version has an empty weight of 3540. Sporting the New Adventures floats amphibious 5500, you will still have 900 pounds of useful load with 4 hours of fuel and will cruise at 130 knts TAS at 3500 feet. 2 large cargo doors on each side and a pilot door will provide you with all loading capabilities required. The Turbo-Grizzly is versatile and may be adapted for agricultural spraying, parajumpjng or ski operation. Designed with simplicity of maintenance in mind, low cost operation and IFR equipped with full EFIS synthetic 3D vision displays, the Turbo- Grizzly is simply the most versatile and low cost Turbine Bush plane or heavy hauler available on the market. Add in the legendary reliability and safety of the PT6 Turbine, reduced work load for the pilot when flying with a turbine engine, 5000 hours TBO and you have an unbeatable
package.

Just imagine the ease of docking or beaching with a reversing prop!
